The problem

A blocked gutter stops being a drainage system and becomes a planter box. Wet debris holds water against the metal until it corrodes, adds serious weight that pulls hangers out of the fascia, and gives mosquitoes, wasps and rodents somewhere permanently damp to nest. In cold climates that trapped water is what freezes into the ice dam that forces meltwater back up under your shingles.

Our process

How gutter cleaning works

  1. 1

    Hand-clear the full run

Debris is removed by hand into containers rather than blown onto your roof, beds and windows.

  2. 2

    Flush every downspout

We flush each downspout and clear any blockage in the elbow or underground run — a clear gutter feeding a blocked downspout still overflows.

  3. 3

    Flow test

Water is run through the system end to end so you can see it drain properly.

  4. 4

Inspect while we are up there

We report anything we find — loose hangers, failed seams, soft fascia, storm damage — with photos, so small problems get caught early.

  5. 5

    Leave the site clean

Debris is bagged and removed. Ground, beds and walkways are rinsed down.

Why us

What to expect from your contractor

You see the condition of your own roofline instead of taking anyone’s word for it.

Answers

Gutter Cleaning — common questions

How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year is the reliable default — once after autumn leaf fall and once in spring. Homes under heavy tree cover, or with pine needles, often need three or four visits a year, because needles pack far more densely than leaves.
Do I need cleaning if I have gutter guards?
Less often, but yes. Guards keep the bulk of leaves out; fine grit, shingle granules, pollen and seed still accumulate underneath and in the downspouts. Most guarded systems need checking every other year.
Will you clean the underground drain lines too?
We clear the visible downspout and the elbow at ground level as standard. Blocked underground or buried drain lines need a different approach and are quoted separately once we have identified the blockage.
What happens if you find damage while cleaning?
We photograph it, show you, and quote the repair separately. Nothing beyond the agreed clean gets done without your approval.
